For more than 60 years, the Bundaberg Lions Club has proudly delivered projects that support families, strengthen community services, and improve the lives of people across our region.
Every project reflects our Lions motto: We Serve.

Below is an overview of the key programs, events, and initiatives.

Community Support Projects

Emergency Medical Information Booklet (EMIB)

We distribute EMIB booklets throughout Bundaberg to help residents keep vital medical information easily accessible for emergency services.

Meals on Wheels Support

Our members assist with deliveries and provide volunteer support to ensure vulnerable residents receive nutritious meals and friendly contact.

Support for Local Families in Need

We donate food, care items, and Lions Teddy Bears to families experiencing hardship or crisis.

Bundaberg Special School BBQs

We regularly run sausage sizzles and fundraising BBQs to support students and staff at the Bundaberg Special School.

Youth of the Year

A flagship Lions program encouraging leadership, public speaking, and personal development among Bundaberg’s young people.

Youth Insearch Camps

We sponsor and support four Youth Insearch camps each year, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and positive life skills.

Fundraising & Community Events

Sausage Sizzles

From Bunnings to community events, our sausage sizzles raise vital funds for local projects and charities.

Christmas Cakes & Puddings

A long-standing Lions tradition — we sell Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings to raise funds for community programs.

Melbourne Cup Sweep

A fun annual fundraiser supporting local Lions initiatives.

Lions Mints

We distribute Lions Mints across Bundaberg businesses to raise funds for medical research and community support.

Containers for Change

Our club collects eligible containers to raise funds for youth programs and community projects.

City to Coast Family Bike Ride Support

We assist with marshalling, safety, and event support for this popular community event.

Stamp Collecting for Medical Research

We collect used stamps to help raise money for Lions medical research foundations.

Health, Safety & Vision Projects

Recycle for Sight

We collect used glasses and sunglasses for recycling and distribution to people in need around the world.

Medical Research Support

Through Lions foundations, we contribute to research in areas such as childhood cancer, diabetes, vision, and hearing.

Social & Club Activities

Club Visits & Social Gatherings

We regularly visit other Lions clubs, attend district events, and enjoy social activities that strengthen friendships and teamwork.

Community Event Participation

Our members proudly represent Lions at local events, awareness days, and community celebrations.
